You like murders and mystery? This book is for you.  It’s really interesting and always keeps you thinking and guessing what's going to happen next.

A murder happens, and next thing you know these intelligent detectives start solving them and finding details that no one would think of. This happens in every chapter. We see different detectives as the story goes on, how they solve the case and try to keep people safe. Young mystery fans will be enthralled by this compelling volume of classic detective fiction. The author is Philip Pullman, and he does an amazing job in explaining the scenes, and when you read it it’s almost like you’re there.

I personally picked this book because I saw Sherlock Holmes and he's considered a big character in the blockbuster series. Some of the chapters that I read were “The speckled band” and “The adventure of the Egyptian Tomb”. They both share in common one thing and It’s that the detectives are solving a murder. In “The speckled band “ the famous Sherlock Holmes walks us through Baker street were Holmes and Watson  wait in the darkened murder room for the appearance of the speckled band, which was caused by the horrifying death of a young woman. In “The adventure of the Egyptian Tomb” there’s another detective named Poirot. As he and Captain Hastings tackle a series of mysterious deaths that follow to a discovery of an Egyptian Tomb.

I would recommend this book a lot if you like anything related to mystery, murder and even a bit of thriller. I really liked this book and I'm not even halfway through, so I expect it to get better with every chapter that I will read. I am aware of who Sherlock Holmes is; he has 2 detective movies, one is coming out in 2021, so I wanted to learn more about his story, and this book really helped. So if you are interested in any of these topics then choose this book, because the stories are explained really well.
